Development of housing units at Bath Road Depot, Burnham - have your say

The rise in homelessness is a national problem and is reflected here in South Bucks. We are supporting the provision of more affordable rented accommodation as part of our duties to prevent homelessness and accommodate those in need, but we need to put in more resources to providing temporary accommodation to reduce the cost of emergency housing.
Exciting plans have been developed by the Council for proposals to design, build and install 12 secure temporary one and two bedroomed self-contained units at Bath Road Depot.  The Council seeks planning permission for a period of 5 to 10 years. This scheme will help the Council to provide accommodation for those who are homeless and in priority need. Furthermore, the provision of emergency accommodation in the district would reduce the health inequality risks associated with the placement of families out of the district.

Before the planning application is submitted towards the end of December, we would like to show you the proposed scheme. We have had initial discussions with the planning officers to ensure we have produced a scheme that will be in keeping with the residential area

We have arranged for display boards to be set up in the reception area at South Bucks District Council offices (Capswood), Oxford Road, Denham UB9 4LH from 06th December to 20th December 2017 during the SBDC office opening hours (9am to 5pm). Arrangements are also being made, with Parish clerks, for display boards to be set up at Parish Council offices.
