Plans to build a new multi-storey car park in Gerrards Cross are unveiled
There is an increasing demand for additional car parking in Gerrards Cross town centre for shoppers, local businesses and residents. This is borne up by two independent capacity studies undertaken late last year and early in 2017.
These studies and many other discussions have confirmed that the demand for parking in Gerrards Cross is growing. The plans to build a new multi-storey car park in Station Road are to make sure the future needs of local shoppers, businesses and residents are met.
The proposal is to construct a new 450 space multi-storey car park on the existing surface site. This will be considered at a planning committee meeting on 6 September 2017.
The current proposals have been drawn up by Balfour Beatty, Broadway Malyan and Peter Brett Associates and are now on display at Gerrards Cross library (SL9 8EL), Gerrards Cross Memorial Centre (SL9 7AD) and the South Bucks District Council offices in Denham (UB9 4LH) until Tuesday 5 September. We are also arranging for displays to be positioned in Tescos and Waitrose in Gerrards Cross. Copies of the displays can also be downloaded.
