South Bucks Chairman helps out local charities

Local charities have been successfully bidding for funding from the South Bucks Chairman's Community Fund. This year a total of just under £2,000 has been granted to a wide range of local charities including:

The Stoke Poges Society
Richings Park Residents Association
Iver and District Mobility Club
Alzheimers Association
Thames Hospice
Black Park Shed
Dorney Youth Club
Stoke Poges Table Tennis Club
Burnham Health Promotion Trust
1st Burnham & Hitcham Scout Group

The aim of the fund is to provide funding to voluntary groups, smaller charities and organisations which can often be overlooked. Where possible, we seek to provide match funding for initiatives which involve and help members of the South Bucks community; including the young, old, and infirm, as well as supporting artistic, cultural, sporting and leisure time pursuits which add to the quality of life for the residents of South Bucks.

The grants available are typically on average £200 per application. If you want to apply for a grant, please send details about your group, project or activity together with a financial statement to For further details please phone 01895 837363 or visit the Chairman's pages.
