Operating Schedules

When you apply for a premises licence or a club premises certificate, or to vary one, part of the application form will consist of the operating schedule.

This includes:-

You will need to indicate whether you will be
    • Selling alcohol by retail.
    • Supplying alcohol by or on behalf of a club to, or to the order of, a member of the club.
    • Providing regulated entertainment and if so what types of entertainment.
    • Providing late night refreshment.

  2. The days of the week and times during which the above activities will take place. This should include an indication of any special arrangements which occur on a regular/yearly basis, such as Valentines day, saints days etc.

  3. Other days and times the premises will be open to the public when no licensable activities will take place.

Using a combination of 2 and 3 above you should indicate whether their will be staggered finishing times for entertainment and the serving of alcohol and any "drinking up" time.

  4. If the licence is only required for a specific period, that period

  5. For premises licences only, if the sale of alcohol is one of the activities prescribed, information about the premises supervisor (this person must hold a personal licence)

  6. Whether any alcohol sold or supplied will be consumed on the premises, off the premises or both.

  7. The steps you will take to promote the licensing objectives.

This is the point where you should clarify how you will run your business and how it will affect the local community.
