Policy Statement
Under the Licensing Act 2003, the licensing authority must draw up and publish a 'Licensing policy statement' to inform businesses and residents on how it will carry out it's duties. This must be kept under constant review and published every three years.
The statement must make it clear how the authority will promote the licensing objectives and it must have regard to guidance issued by the Secretary of State.
