Buckinghamshire Domestic Violence and Abuse Champion's Network
The Domestic Violence Champions Network consists of trained individuals from all types of organisations who are committed to supporting victims of domestic abuse across Buckinghamshire.The aim of the Domestic Violence Champions Network is to raise awareness of domestic violence and to make people aware of the local services available and ensure early intervention. Champions are provided with free training and will be able to advise individuals to local resources and support.
What is a champion's role?
You will be the Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA) contact for the organisation/business
You can pass on your DVA knowledge to your organisation/business
Champions can refer to individuals to local resources/support
To keep up to date with DVA issues
You will have the opportunity to attend DVA network meetings to meet other champions from other professions to expand your knowledge and share ideas
What will I be provided with in order to be a champion?
Free email bulletins from the DVA Champion's admin informing you about news, research and training
Free Champion's training for those who are new to the network or require a refresher
Free invitation to network event
Free login to the website "Reducing The Risk" which has lots of resources and has the Champions Contact List
Free invitations to quarterly meetings to discuss ideas and hear from guest speakers

- September 26-27 09.30 - 16.30 at Green Park, Aston Clinton
- October 4-5, 2017 - Oxfordshire Mind, Abingdon
- November 1-2, 2017 - County Hall, Oxford
- February 22-23, 2018 - County Hall, Oxford
