Bicycle Security Marking

Get your bicycle(s) security tagged and increase the chances of having it being traced back to you should it be stolen or lost. Bike marking simply involves placing a label with your postcode on the inside of your bike frame with your postcode written on, in the event of your bike being found by the police they will search the bike for any marking and attempt to retrace it to you.

Nearly 50% of bike owners do not lock their bikes up properly and whilst some bicycles are returned to their owners when lost or stolen, the majority of them are never seen again. Bike marking, like any form of property marking is proven to increase the chances of getting your bike returned to you, and will deter criminals from taking it in the first place.

If you would like to get more information on get your bicycle(s) marked then visit the South Bucks District Council Offices in Denham or attend a local ‘Have Your Say’ meeting where someone will be happy to help you.

If visiting the council offices or the have your say meetings to get a sticker is not an option for you there are other means to protect your bike that are listed on the Thames Valley Police website.
