Grants

We recognise how important community organisations are in providing services to our District.

The Subscriptions and Donations Grant is designed to help organisations continue the important work they do for residents. This grant is to help towards the general running costs but cannot be used to purchase equipment.

The grant isn't only open to organisations that are based in the District, but also to those outside the area but whose activities and functions benefit our residents.

As you can imagine there are a large number of groups who apply to this fund each year. Currently the total we allocate each year from this fund is around £23,000. For your organisation to benefit you will need to demonstrate how it helps our District, the number of residents, businesses or groups who might benefit and how you feel it helps to meet the underlying aims of our Sustainable Community Strategy.

The Subscription and Donations Grants are normally allocated once a year, in February/March. This is so that organisations can be notified of funding ahead of the financial year so that they can plan their activities for the coming year. This grant is currently closed, but if you would like to receive a Subscription and Donation Grant form, please email community@southbucks.gov.ukgiving your name and address, or you can download one from the bottom of the page.

Community Grants are available across 4 different programmes: Community Development Grants, Community Environment Grants, Playground Grants and Village Hall Grants. The total money available for the current financial year is £15,000 across all four of the programmes.

Funding is available for capital purchases across the four grant programmes, all projects applying for any of the programmes must be open and accessible to the public and based in South Bucks. Funding is available for the purchase of equipment or materials and building and refurbishment works.

Applications will be considered by the Community Policy Advisory Group, dates of the meetings are listed within the application form and applications must be received at least six weeks prior to the meeting date.
