The Community Cards scheme ran for it's third year in Chiltern and South Bucks from Tuesday 18th April 2017- Monday 19th June 2017. A total of 29 schools situated within Chiltern and South Bucks participated in this year's Community Cards scheme.
The scheme encourages children in year 6 to get involved with constructive community activities in order to earn rewards in the form of stickers to be placed in a collector's card. The aim is for children in class groups to collect the most stickers per child whilst learning about some very important topics and win one of a number of class and individual prizes.
The scheme is centred upon getting the best out of young people and encouraging them to be aware of their responsibilities and the opportunities in their local community. The scheme aims to improve relationships between 11 year-olds and various agencies that work in the community, make young people more aware of the services available to them and encourage young people to engage in constructive activities.
