- enabling a service to recognise your device so you don't have to give the same information several times during one task
- recognising that you may already have given a username and password so you don't need to do it for every web page requested
- measuring how many people are using services, so they can be made easier to use and there's enough capacity to ensure they are fast
Our Use of Cookies- So service is available when you want it and fast, we measure numbers and volumes of visitors
- Once you have logged on with username and password, so you don’t have to do it for every Web page you request from our service
- To understand what visitors want to use and not to use, so we can improve the service you receive and archive what is not used.
- To remember your selections or preferences that you’ve already made when looking at information or using a service
- To understand where you may have difficulty in using the service, in order to make it easier in future for you to complete your task
- In completing a task, to enable you to complete the task without re-entering information already given
- When we provide links to third party services you find useful, they may place a cookie on your device to make their service easier to use.
- If you have answered a survey, in order to prevent another invitation to respond to it
