Have Your Say - Consultation on Electoral Boundaries

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England is an independent body which conducts electoral reviews of local authority areas.

The purpose of an electoral review is to decide on the appropriate electoral arrangements such as the number of councillors and the names and number of boundaries, wards or divisions for a specific local authority.

The Boundary Commission are conducting an electoral review of Buckinghamshire County Council to provide improved levels of electoral equality across the authority.

In addition, following a request from Buckinghamshire County Council, the Commission has undertaken this review with the presumption of single-member electoral divisions being recommended. The review also aims to ensure that the number of voters represented by each councillor is approximately the same. The consultation ends on 10th October 2011
