Performance

The Council prides itself on being a lean and efficient organisation that provides good value for money to its residents. It has comprehensive budget, performance and risk management controls in place and undertakes regular comparisons with other councils to identify opportunities for improvement.

External auditors found the Council to provide good value for money in its key services and have a good record of achieving savings. They report that the Council has improved its performance better than most District Councils. 40% of the Councils performance indicators perform amongst the best in the Country, this performance is in alignment with Councils rated as excellent.
