Do I need building regulation approval to build a conservatory or porch?

Conservatories and porches are exempt from the building regulations if they meet the following criteria:

Conservatories: Must be on the ground floor and attached to a house, Must have a floor area not exceeding 30m², Must have a glass or transparent roof, predominately glazed walls and be separated from the house by a door, Certain glazed panels need to be laminated or toughened glass.

Porches: A porch must be used for no other purpose, it must not exceed 30m² in floor area, and certain glazed panels need to be laminated or toughened glass.
