What are the building regulations rules regarding boilers?

All new and replacement gas boilers in dwellings should be condensing boilers - if this is appropriate for your property. All gas boilers must be installed by a CORGI registered installer. They will advise you whether a condensing boiler is suitable for your property and provide you with a "declaration form" for you to keep. An OFTEC installer can advise you about oil fired boilers. From 1 April 2007 these should also be condensing boilers. Condensing boilers are the most efficient type of "wet" heating system.
