The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how the Council intends to engage with the community and stakeholders in the process of preparing Local Development Documents and when considering planning applications.
The Council submitted its SCI to the Secretary of State in June 2006. An independent Inspector was appointed to test the soundness of the document with an Examination hearing held on 6 November 2006. The Council received the Inspector's Report at the end of November 2006. All recommendations made by the Inspector were incorporated and the Council has formally adopted the SCI on 27 February 2007.
