Registration - End Of Life Vehicle dealer
If you carry out the business of dealing in end of life vehicles, you must be licensed by the Environment Agency.
“end-of-life vehicle" (ELV) means a vehicle which is waste;
"waste" means any substance or object ... which the holder discards or intends or is required to discard.

Registration - Motor Salvage
The Motor Salvage Operators Regulations 2002 requires that a person may only carry on the business of a Motor Salvage Operator in South Bucks District Council if s/he is registered with the Local Authority Any person who carries on a business, which consists of the following, need to register with this Authority:
Registration as a motor salvage dealer shall last for 3 years and must be renewed on or before the expiry date if the registered person wishes to carry on as a scrap metal dealer.
Licence - Scrap Metal
The Scrap metal Dealers Act 1964 requires that any person carrying out the business of scrap metal dealer, registers their business with the local authority.
A person is deemed to be carrying on a scrap metal business if they:
