Bulky Items

Unwanted bulky household items e.g. fridges, freezers, beds etc. can be collected.   This service currently costs £27.50 (including VAT) for up to 5 items unless certain benefits are claimed.  You will be contacted shortly after making your booking by the Council's contractor, Verdant Group Plc so that a morning or afternoon appointment can be arranged.  House clearances or building (including DIY) materials cannot be collected. The items must be left outside the property for collection, as the operatives are not insured to enter buildings.  Arrangements can be made to enter private property to remove items if required in certain circumstances. This service may be delayed slightly during Bank Holiday periods, especially Christmas.

Location of Household Waste and Recycling Centres
All such sites are managed by Bucks County Council. There are special facilities for some, if not all, of the following waste e.g. garden waste, chemicals, asbestos cement sheets, engine oil. Please ring 01296 382 307 for more detail:

  opening hours for the above sites are:
  Summer time - 8am to 6pm
  Winter time - 8am to 5pm

It should be noted that the above sites are managed by Buckinghamshire County Council who have recently introduced a permit scheme for residents wishing to deposit waste using mini buses, van, pick ups, large trailers or similar, or on foot.
