On 1st November 2007 South Bucks District Council began a new refuse and recycling collection and street cleaning contract with Verdant Group Plc. Our services changed slightly on this date and are explained further on this page and elsewhere in the waste and recycling section of this website.
South Buck District Council provides a property boundary refuse collection paper/card and glass/can recycling service to all domestic properties in the district. It is also responsible for litter picking and mechanical sweeping of adopted roads and footpaths. The Council also runs various recycling initiatives including the provision of mini-recycling sites and discounted compost bins. Please contact the office on 01895 837362 for more details.

Domestic Refuse Collection Service
All refuse should be securely bagged and left at the property boundary by 7am to guarantee collection. Your property boundary is where your front path or driveway meets the public pavement or road. You may leave your refuse sacks in a bin.

Refuse Recycling
Household Waste-Domestic bins.
Currently SBDC does not provide domestic waste containers throughout the district. We are trialling a wheelie bin collection service to 5,400 homes. For the remaining properties our contractor Verdant Group Plc will deliver a 6 month supply of sacks in April and October each year.
Recycling Collection
Two types of containers are available to residents wishing to recycle paper/card, and glass/cans. These are colour coded - black for paper/card and green for glass/cans. Should you require either of these containers they may be obtained by using our feedback form or calling us on 01895 837362.

In order to further reduce the demand on landfill, the Council provides numerous mini-recycling sites throughout the District as well as a front of property paper/card, glass/cans collection service - see under "Recycling" for more details.
PLEASE ENSURE your refuse bags, paper and recycling boxes are available for collection no later than 7a.m. on your collection day. Thank you.
If you have electrically operated gates, your refuse and recycling outside your the gate.
NOTE: Garden waste will not be collected unless it is in green sacks, which may be obtained from Verdant Group Plc by contacting (01494) 763085. This is a direct arrangement between residents and Verdant Group Plc. If you are on the Green Waste Trial you should disregard this.
