Evidence Gathering
In 2003, the Council published a paper "Planning the Future of South Bucks", to seek initial view on a number of important planning matters and this was subject to widespread consultation.

The consultation period ended on 31st January 2004. A Summary of Consultation Responses on "Planning the Future of South Bucks" paper was published in March 2004. These documents can be downloaded below.

Issues and Options Paper (2006)
The Core Strategy - Issues and Options Paper was subject to consultation from 16th January to 27th February 2006. The paper outlined a number of issues for the future planning of South Bucks and identified a number of different options accordingly.


Preferred Options Document (2006)
The Council then published the Core Strategy - Preferred Options Document for public consultation in September 2006. The consultation ended in October 2006 and over 140 responses were received. Relevant documents can be viewed or downloaded below.

Emerging Approach Document (2009)
The Council published the Core Strategy - Emerging Approach Document in March 2009 for a six-week public consultation. The consultation ended on 27 April 2009. The focus of the Emerging Approach document was on strategic options for accommodating future development.

Core Strategy - Publication (March 2010)
The Council published the Proposed Submission Core Strategy in March 2010. Representations were invited on the soundness of the Proposed Submission Core Strategy between 31 March and 12 May 2010. The Proposed Submission Core Strategy and other relevant documents are available to download below. Core Strategy –Submission (July 2010)
Following the consultation on the Proposed Submission Core Strategy, the Council submitted its Core Strategy to the Secretary of State on 21st July 2010 with all the following downloadable documents and links.

• Habitats Regulation Assessment
