South East Plan

The Secretary of State published the final version of the South East Plan on May 6 2009 to replace the Regional Planning Guidance for the South East (RPG9). The South East Plan sets out the spatial planning strategy for the whole of the South East of England.

On 6th July 2010, the Government announced the revocation of Regional Strategies (including the South East Plan) with immediate effect. However, this action was formally quashed by the High Court on 10 November 2010, with the result that the South East Plan remains a part of the 'development plan'.
