Conservation Areas in South Bucks
A conservation area is an area of special architectural or historic interest, worthy of protection. The designation is normally made by a local authority. At present, South Bucks District has 16 conservation areas.

Planning Aid provides free, independent and professional advice and support on planning issues to people and communities who cannot afford to hire a planning consultant. Planning Aid complements the work of local authorities but is wholly independent of them. In most UK regions Planning Aid is run by the Royal Town Planning Institute.

Planning Portal is a one-stop source of information for the general public, planners and local authorities on planning matters. It provides information about planning in your area and the development that can be performed around your house. It also allows you to apply for planning permission electronically as well as submit and track an appeal online.

The Royal Town Planning Institute site gives a wide range of information on planning, including sources of advice on planning matters.

Communities and Local Government (Opens new window to Communities website)
Communities and Local Government was created on 5 May 2006, under the leadership of Ruth Kelly. It's vision is of prosperous and cohesive communities, offering a safe, healthy and sustainable environment for all. In the Planning, Building and the Environment section, you will find planning guidance and policy documents, research and statistics and links to other related sites which further explain the planning system.

Buckinghamshire County Council is the planning authority for the minerals and waste development. It is also the Highway Authority for Buckinghamshire.

This is the home of official UK statistics. The site provides a vast amount of statistical information on different subjects. It also provides news and data about Census.

South East England Regional Assembly
The South East England Regional Assembly is the regional planning body for the South East England. They are responsible for the preparation of the South East Plan which will set a 20-year vision for the region.
