Recycling Centres

SBDC operate and are responsible for recycling centres which are found at various local car parks or shopping areas throughout the district. These centres offer residents the opportunity to recycle a number of extra materials that we are currently unable to collect from your property boundary including plastic bottles, small electrical items, foil and textiles.

Buckinghamshire County Council operate and are responsible for the Household Waste Recycling Centres where you can recycle an even wider range of household waste.

SBDC Recycling Centres
All of these have facilities for plastic bottles, paper, glass bottles and cans. Some sites have additional facilities for small electrical items, foil, textiles and shoes. When using the recycling centres pleas remember the following;

• Only put into the recycling banks the dry recyclables specified on the outside of these containers. Contamination with other material can cause the load to be rejected and therefore sent to landfill.
• Clean Materials only. Please ensure materials are rinsed and there is no food remaining in glass jars or tin cans.
• Plastic bottles should be washed, squashed (where possible) and the lids REMOVED. Removing the lids allows the bottles to be compacted safely within the collection vehicles.
• DO NOT leave materials or general rubbish around the outside of the containers. Waste left around the containers can attract vermin, cause litter and potentially cause harm; it is also classified as fly-tipping which is a crime.

The map facility is a new initiative being undertaken by SBDC and other Bucks Councils and is subject to further development.
