Is there a charge for building regulations approval?
Yes. When you submit an application, payment must be submitted at the same time. The total cost is exactly the same whether a full plans application or a building notice is submitted. If the work is to a dwelling and specifically for the benefit of a disabled person, then it may qualify for exemption from payment of the charges. View a list of building control charges.
