How do I get a completion certificate when building work has finished?
You should contact us within five days of completing your building work (or prior to occupation). A final inspection will then be made. If this is satisfactory a completion certificate will be issued. Completion certificates are valuable evidence, ensuring that works satisfied the requirements of the building regulations at the time of the completion inspection. A certificate may be required when selling a property or raising finance, so keep it in a safe place.
