Safeguarding Children
Under the provisions of the Children Act 2004 the Council is under a duty to ensure that its functions are discharged with regard to the need to safeguard and protect the welfare of children.
As such the Council is committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of all children to whom we provide services directly or indirectly and with whom we come into contact. How we go about this is set out in our Child Protection Policy.
Concerned about a Child?
South Bucks District Council is not responsible for investigating child protection concerns. If you do have any concerns regarding the safety or welfare of a child, or if you are a child suffering from neglect or abuse, then these should be reported to Buckinghamshire County Council's Children and Families' Social Care (01494 475211 or 01494 475037) or the Police.
