On Sunday 6th September, Black Park is hosting the 8th South Bucks District Council Art in the Park Day!
On the day, many artists will come along and create a piece of temporary (ephemeral) artwork which will remain in the park for the duration of its life. This will be done either with the help of the public, or by artists working on their own material in such a way that members of the public are encouraged to join in. This will hopefully inspire people to become creative at home. There will be artists working with clay, found wood and wildflowers, pebbles, a lace maker teaching hand made bobbin lace, a wood turner and other artists!
This is a fabulous day where lots of artists will be working in areas of their choosing around the beautiful lake in the centre of Black Park, which is surrounded by deciduous trees and linked by paths. There is an abundance of wildlife both on the water and in the trees and lots of other things for people to enjoy whilst taking in the diversity of this great cultural event, such as the South Bucks Sculpture trail which consists of 6 very different sculptures placed around the park!
This is a really exciting event for South Bucks. Alongside the artists, there will be information stalls from other sections of the community. So come along and enjoy a fabulous creative day amongst this beautiful part of South Bucks!
