Is the launch for South Bucks District Council's Cultural 
Olympiad work!
Held in partnership with Dorney Lake, 'TeamFusion!' is the beginning of a number of linked cultural and sporting projects that will be happening in South Bucks during the run up to the Olympics in 2012! A really exciting launch event is being held on Friday 26th September 2008 which will see around 100 children and young people working together in and around Dorney Lake. They will be taking part in activities such as rowing on the lake, working with artists, watching dance performances and taking part in workshops with the Sign Dance Collective, an internationally famous disability dance company who work with very high calibre professional musicians! A number of the young people will be working on a digital photographic project making their own 'fusion' of the work that is going on during the day!
The children will be from a number of schools across South Bucks including The Beaconsfield School, St Peter's School in Burnham, Iver Village Junior School, Alfriston School, Dorney School and Arbour Vale School. The 'TeamFusion!' launch day is aimed at being a fun taster of inspiring and creative activities for the children and staff and we hope that it will be the first of many.
Artists will be running different activities that will be aimed at inspiring the children to take part in creative and cultural activities in the future! The performance and workshops with the Sign Dance Collective and their musicians will be a great opportunity for the children and staff to work with this very experienced disability dance company. Also for the children to have the opportunity to row on the actual lake that will be used for the Olympic Games in 2012 is something that many children would love!
