After School Clubs and Community Clubs



There are over 30 schools in South Bucks catering for up to 8,000 young people aged between 4 and 18.  This is probably the first chance many young people get to experience cultural activities.  Our Arts and Sports Teams work with our schools to provide further opportunities for young people to take part in a variety of activities.

The after-school clubs we currently offer are another one of our success stories - we run over 20 different programmes a week in schools catering for in excess of 1,000 young people a week.

Sports
South Bucks District Council are working in partnership with Dorney Rowing Lake, the world-class rowing facility, to provide coaching for 10-16 year olds.  We are approaching schools to run either curriculum or after school clubs so if you  think that your childs school would benefit from this scheme please call Joe Sammon, Sport and Recreation Officer on 01895 837348.

Arts
At present the leisure department runs Arts After School Clubs in Drama, Art and Dance in 10 schools.
