SportsAid

The Bucks Sports Partnership and Bucks Co-ordinating Group for the 2012 Games have teamed up with SportsAid, a national charity set up to raise money to help the next generation of sporting talent. Young people aged 12 to 16 are rarely able to access lottery funding, and the foundation aims to help by developing partnerships with local companies to provide support for them.

SportsAid grants are a good indication of potential success at international level - 15 out of the 17 gold medallists at the Athens Olympics received support from SportsAid in their early careers.

To be eligible the young person must already be a member of the GB team in their sport.

The Bucks SportsAid Foundation is looking for people to help make Bucks a successful sporting county, and there are many ways for individuals and companies to get involved and help our young people achieve.
