Sports Employment

The Council employs a number of sports coaches and supervisors for activities, these are predominantly on Casual or 'As and When' contracts. As an Investors In People (IIP) organisation we are keen that all employees are trained to a proficient level. Employment is dependent on receiving recognised governing body coaching qualifications, references and a successful Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.

Other local employers in the sport and leisure industry include leisure centres such as the Beacon Centre in Beaconsfield and the Evreham Sports Centre in Iver

Numerous sports clubs employ coaches, although this tends to be sports such as Golf, Tennis and Football where there is a tradition for coaches to receive financial remuneration as opposed to relying on volunteers from within the club setup.
