Multi Sports For Adults With Disabilities

An exciting new multi sports disability club for adults will be launched in Iver on 15th October 2009. This new activity group will be held every Thursday at 11.30am in the sports hall at Evreham Sports Centre and welcomes people with learning and minor physical disabilities.

The one hour sessions will provide a program of activities such as ball games and team activities which have been created to help improve balance, co-ordination and agility provide the opportunity for anyone with a disability to keep active while incorporating fundamental skills in a fun, challenging and enjoyable way.

This new club has been set up by South Bucks District Council, working in partnership with Nexus Community and the 'Get Active' initiative run by Bucks Sport.

Adult Multi Sports will take place every Thursday from 11.30am-12.30pm, running for 10 weeks at a cost of £2 per session.

South Bucks District Councillor Shorne Tilbey, Portfolio Holder for Community says, "This is an excellent new initiative that the Council, in conjunction with its partners, is delighted to be able to offer. These sessions are a valuable addition to the activities we currently offer within the community and I hope residents will see this, not only as an opportunity to get active, but to meet new people and make friends."
