Sporty Fun This Half Term
There are no excuses for children to be bored during this half term with an action packed programme of sports activities on offer for young people in South Bucks.
A multi sports week will run in Burnham for young people aged 7-13 years. Run by South Bucks District Council, the week's activities are sure to keep children active with a range of coaching, competitions and games on offer. Activities such as football, badminton, dodgeball, tag rugby and orienteering will be based at Burnham Upper School each day from 9.00am - 4.00pm, meaning a whole day of sporting fun for the children, and a nice long day off for the parents!
South Bucks District Councillor Shorne Tilbey, Portfolio Holder for Community highlighted the importance of running such schemes over the half term period, 'Whilst the children have so much time on their hands it's easy for them to get bored and parents can often find it difficult to keep them entertained. These activities are a great way to keep young people occupied and doing something active all day long! It's also a great opportunity to make new friends'.
The multi sports week will run from Monday 26th to Friday 30th October 2009, costing just £10 per child for the day or £40 for the week. It is advisable to book a place to avoid missing out.
