Council Insulation Grant
Cavity Wall and Loft Insulation are the two most effective Energy Efficiency measures, and with temperatures dropping, now is a great time to have it done.
South Bucks District Council is pleased to announce that for a limited period, homeowners and private tenants living in South Bucks can now get cavity wall or loft insulation fitted for a standard price of £99 each (normally £150 to £500). At this low price insulation pays for itself fast in reduced energy bills.
Residents aged 70 or over, or who receive means-tested benefits, may even get the work done for free.
The Energy Saving Trust estimates that householders can save £115 per year on their fuel bills by just adding cavity wall insulation!
Those planning to take up the offer will be able to choose between a selection of approved local installers who will then carry out a no-obligation survey but hurry work will be done on a first-come, first-served basis as funds are limited.
Further charges may apply, for example if your property is larger than average for the number of bedrooms, access to walls or the loft is restricted or if extra vents are required.
The reduced price of £99 is possible thanks to a grant from the South Bucks Strategic Partnership, South Bucks District Council, Bucks Fire & Rescue Service and Cocoon applied for the extra funds to support this low price.
For further information or to apply, call 0800 8048 777 Monday to Friday 9am to 9pm or apply online at www.cocoonyourhome.co.uk
The offer is being managed by comparison service Cocoon which is run by United Sustainable Energy Agency, the independent not-for-profit organisation which operates your local Energy Saving Trust advice centre.
