Come And Enjoy Local Festivities

The festive season is upon us and South Bucks District Council is supporting local events to help bring the Christmas spirit to an area near you, so why not come along with the whole family. There will be fantastic parades and a chance to pick up any last minute gifts at the Christmas markets.

The parades are a huge success every year and this year will be no exception, with the theme focusing around the Olympics. South Bucks District Council has provided materials for over 550 local children, and artists to run workshops, creating spectacular lanterns with an Olympic theme, so don’t be surprised to see Mandeville and Wenlock the 2012 mascots at the events.

South Bucks District Councillor Anita Cranmer, Portfolio Holder for Community says: “The District Council is proud to support these events, they make a wonderful start to the Christmas celebrations bringing the whole community together. It is fantastic that we have been able to incorporate the Olympic theme into these events by working with local schools and groups through creative workshops, providing inspiration to so many children.”
