October Half Term Parkour / Free Running Event

South Bucks District Council is proud to present its first Parkour / Free Running Fun Day during October half term.

This is an excellent opportunity to come and beat the holiday boredom and try this exciting urban form of acrobatics. The fun day is on Friday 28th October from 9am to 1pm at Beaconsfield School, Wattleton Road.

Parkour / Free Running is a new dynamic movement created in the urban landscape. The purpose of Parkour / Free Running is to coach participants how to move through their environment by vaulting, rolling, running and jumping in a creative way.

South Bucks District Councillor Anita Cranmer, Portfolio Holder for Community says “We are pleased to offer Parkour / Free Running to the young residents of South Bucks. This modern and engaging activity will allow young people to be creative and keep fit at the same time.”

This inspiring fun day is a brilliant introduction to Parkour and Free Running. Fully qualified instructors will offer guidance throughout the day, teaching basic movements to beginners to advanced techniques such as ‘cat leaps’ and ‘dive rolls’. You will also have the opportunity to watch Parkour / Free Running videos showing professionals in action as well as and learn the history and philosophy behind Parkour / Free Running.

Booking is essential if you are interested in attending. Don’t miss out on this unique day, there are 40 spaces available so book early to avoid disappointment.

We are offering this Parkour / Free Running fun day for £5. Children will be spilt up into two age groups 9 to 11 years and 12 to14 years.
