Give it a go in the Outdoors

Now summer time is here, South Bucks residents are being given the ideal opportunity to exercise in the great outdoors! Whether it’s getting back into an activity you’ve taken part in before, or trying something totally new, South Bucks District Council is offering a range of subsidised or free activities during the week of 16th to 22nd May.

Lynn Trigwell, Head of Community says “With summer time upon us it’s a perfect chance to enjoy the lovely weather whilst exercising outdoors. We hope that by offering free and heavily subsidised activities, our residents will be at least tempted into giving it a go!”

In South Bucks there is a range of activities for adults to choose from…

• Beginners and Return to Golf group lessons cost just £10 for five weeks at The Lanes Golf Course, Stoke Poges. Courses start week commencing 16th May and booking is required. All lessons led by a fully qualified PGA Golf Professional.
• Boot Camps offer a fun way to exercise outdoors at three different locations. FREE taster sessions will take place on Tuesday 17th May, 10.30am-11.30am at Farnham Park Playing Fields, 7.30pm-8.30pm at Beacon Sports Centre in Beaconsfield, and on Thursday 19th May, 7.30pm-8.30pm at Burnham Park. 8 week courses to follow at each location, costing £15 in advance or £3 per session. All sessions led by a PT-ME Personal Trainer.
• A FREE Tennis taster evening will take place on Monday 16th May, hosted by Burnham Tennis Association at the Stomping Ground, Burnham. Turn up between 5pm-9pm to get involved. At this session, participants will be given the chance to book onto a further 10 weeks coaching for just £20! Course spaces are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis. Just turn up for the taster evening.
