Burnham Park Outdoor Gym-2-Go

Excited about the Olympics? Want to try a new a sport or physical activity?

As part of a nationwide campaign to capture the excitement of London 2012 Games, South Bucks District Council’s Sports Development Team are encouraging young people to take up a new sport or try a new physical activity.

The team is running two 6 week outdoor gym courses at Burnham Park, Windsor Lane, that have been specifically designed for young people aged between 14 and 18 years old, who want to try something new or get fit in a fun way!

Our friendly personal trainer at the outdoor gym will show you how to use the equipment and keep you motivated to improve your fitness. This is an excellent opportunity to exercise at a low cost and fully utilise the outdoor equipment.

South Bucks District Councillor Anita Cranmer, Portfolio Holder for Community says, ‘the outdoor gym is a great facility for all of the community, particularly young people who want to try a different physical activity. It’s easy for local young people to access and could help them to develop a passion for exercise.’

Sportivate outdoor gym courses at Burnham Park cost just £12 for six weeks if paid in advance or £2.50 a session if paid weekly. There will be two 6 week courses run by a fully qualified instructor.

The first course will start on Thursday 29th September, 4.30pm-5.30pm with the second course starting the following Saturday 1st October, 1pm-2pm. The address for the courses is Burnham Park, Windsor Lane, Burnham Park, Burnham SL1 7HR.

Booking is required and spaces are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
