Evreham Sports Centre Achieve 'Highly Commended' in Quest

The Evreham Sports Centre in Iver has moved into the top tier of sports and leisure providers in the country.

The industry standard assessment process of Quest is followed by all leading companies in sport and leisure and ‘benchmarks’ how well a site is performing on issues such as health and safety, customer care, staff development, the role within the community and more.

The Evreham Sports Centre scored a high score of 71% in its first assessment two years ago. Since then Nexus Community, who manage the site on behalf of South Bucks District Council, have implemented a wide variety of improvements. These improvements and the hard work of staff have seen a fantastic rise of 10% to score 81%. On the second cycle of the assessment process this can be seen as a remarkable achievement and puts the centre easily into the top 10% in the country.

South Bucks District Councillor Anita Cranmer, Portfolio Holder for Community says, “Evreham Sports Centre plays an important role for the local community providing opportunities to take part in sport and exercise. All the staff should be congratulated for their dedication and hard work in achieving the Quest Accreditation for the second time in a row - a fantastic result.”


Steve O’Reilly, the General Manager for Evreham said “The work that staff put into achieving this score has been outstanding. This coupled with the work we do with our partners South Bucks District Council has certainly paid dividends. Let’s just hope we can continue this and score even higher in two years time”.

A score of 81% has elevated the centre into the ‘Highly Commended’ category, just missing out on an ‘Excellent’ score of 85% This certainly seems within reach next time around!

Facilities available at the Evreham Sports Centre include a ‘3G’ Astroturf pitch with full floodlights, a fully equipped ‘Nautilus’ gym, Aerobics classes including the new craze ‘Zumba’ and lots of sporting courses for all the family.
