Chance for Community Groups to Bid for Cash

Community groups and voluntary organisations are being invited to apply for funding from South Bucks District Council’s Subscriptions and Donations Grant.

Last year organisations were awarded grants totalling over £25,000 helping community groups and organisations to continue providing their service to the community. The fund is to help towards the running costs of a group who would not be able to provide their activities and services without financial assistance. The grant will not be provided for groups wishing to purchase equipment.

Applicants do not have to live within the District, but their services must benefit the residents of South Bucks.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on 20th May 2011.

South Bucks District Councillor Anita Cranmer, Portfolio Holder for Community says: “I would urge community groups and voluntary organisations not to miss this opportunity to apply for funding. Many local groups benefited from a cash boost last year and we’ve had great feedback from them on how the money has been put to good use.”
