Chance For Community Groups To Bid For Cash

Community groups and voluntary organisations are being invited to apply for funding from South Bucks District Council’s Subscriptions and Donations Grant Fund.

Last year organisations were awarded grants totalling over £22,000 helping community groups and organisations to continue providing their service to the community. The fund is to help towards the running costs of a group who would not be able to provide their activities and services without financial assistance. The grant will not be provided for groups wishing to purchase equipment or for one off events.

Applicants do not have to live within the District, but their services must benefit residents living in the District of South Bucks.

South Bucks District Councillor Anita Cranmer, Portfolio Holder for Community says: “We want to support local services and projects in the voluntary sector, and will look to support organisations for whom small sums of money are key and to those who provide vital services in the District.”

The closing date for applications is 5pm on 27th January 2012.
