Summer Fun In South Bucks

Games in the Park
This summer, younger residents of South Bucks have the opportunity to try a variety of exciting sports and arts activities themed around next year’s Olympic Games. ‘Games in the Park’ is a FREE event, offering sports such as tennis, football, volleyball and athletics, as well as inspiring arts activities for children aged 6 to 16 years to try their hand at (under 8’s must be accompanied by an adult). The event follows on from our well established ‘Chillin’ in the Park’ programme.

South Bucks District Councillor Anita Cranmer, Portfolio Holder for Community says “As a host authority for the London 2012 Games this is a very exciting time for South Bucks District Council. With less than a year to go, ‘Games in the Park’ is one of many events taking place across the district aiming to inspire our residents to get involved. We hope that these events will encourage our younger residents to try out some of the sports that they will see at next year’s games, whilst keeping active over the summer break.”
