A fantastic opportunity for adults to try their hand at the social sport of rowing is being provided FREE this weekend by Maidenhead Rowing Club.
South Bucks District Council has supported the Bucks Legacy Programme which provides the chance for people to try a sport free of charge in 2012.
In this Olympic Year and with the University Boat Race just completed, now is as good a time as any to try your hand at this sport and take advantage of this free rowing experience on Saturday 21st April from 11am -1pm.
South Bucks District Councillor Anita Cranmer, Portfolio Holder for Community, said, “Rowing is a wonderful competitive and social sport that provides all the rewards of a gym workout; utilising most muscle groups, but with the advantage of being out in the fresh air.”
The club is also running ‘Learn to Row’ courses throughout May, June and July 2012. To book on the free session or a ‘Learn to Row’ course visit www.maidenheadrc.org.uk or call 01628 622664.
