Holtspur Schools Sports Spectacular Success

There was a fantastic turnout on Saturday 26th September for Holtspur School's first ever 'Sports Spectacular' event. Supported by South Bucks District Council and Nexus Community, the free event, held at both the school and the nearby Beacon Centre, featured a wide variety of activities for both parents and children to try their hand at. Activities included sports such as tag rugby and tennis, along with the more unusual such as ultimate frisbee, trampolining and a mobile climbing wall!

South Bucks District Councillor Shorne Tilbey, Portfolio Holder for Community says, "It's great to see so many families taking part in sports together, with the adults getting just as involved as the children to try a whole range of different activities. South Bucks District Council is delighted to have been able to help support this marvellous event, particularly in working towards the national target to offer every school child at least 5 hours of sport or physical activity every week."

Organised by Holtspur School, the aim of the event was to bring together the local community and raise the profile of sport at the school.
