Juniors Invited To Bounce Into The New Year With Fun Basketball Sessions

Young people in the South Bucks area are being encouraged to make a New Year’s resolution to try Basketball in 2010 by signing up for coaching at the Evreham Sports Centre in Iver. The coaching is being organised by South Bucks District Council’s Sports Development Team as part of the Government’s target of encouraging young people to increase their sports participation outside of the school day.

Open to boys and girls aged 11-14 years old the coaching sessions are led each Monday from 5-6pm by experienced coach and former Milton Keynes Lions player, Joe Manley. Whether you are a beginner or experienced player the sessions are tailored to suit all playing standards. The cost of the course is £3 per week.

South Bucks District Councillor Shorne Tilbey, Portfolio Holder for Community said ‘this is a great opportunity both for young people who are new to the sport of Basketball and for those with a bit more experience wishing to improve their skills’.
