Wilton Park Development Brief SPD

South Bucks District Council's adopted Core Strategy requires a Development Brief to be prepared. Council planning policies require redevelopment of the site to provide new homes and employment, together with community, sport and recreation facilities, public open space and other necessary infrastructure, including a new access for vehicles.

On 31 March 2015, the District Council adopted the Wilton Park Development Brief Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). The SPD and associated documents are available to download at the bottom of this page.

The SPD establishes in more detail the principles that will guide the future redevelopment of Wilton Park. The aim is to ensure that the development is comprehensive, of exceptional quality and delivers benefits to the local community, including a new community building, sports pitches, a park and other open space, new and improved transport infrastructure and additional school places. The SPD is not a detailed masterplan for the site; a masterplan will form part of a planning application.

The SPD and accompanying documents together with the consultation responses on the earlier draft SPD are available for download. Alternatively they can be viewed at the Council offices.

It will now be for the landowner/developer to bring forward a planning application for Wilton Park. There will be further opportunities for the public to comment before a planning application is submitted. Planning permission for a new vehicle access to Wilton Park from the Pyebush Roundabout was granted in October 2014 (reference number 14/01467/FUL).
