Following the recent terrorist incidents in London and Glasgow, Thames Valley Police has, along with other Forces, increased police patrols in areas which may be vulnerable. These include places such as busy railway stations, shopping centres, bars and clubs.
There is no information that suggests any part of the Thames Valley is a specific target and we would urge people to go about their daily business as usual.
We would, however, ask the public to be vigilant. We need local communities to help us defeat terrorism. Suspicious activity can be reported to the Anti-Terrorist Hotline on 0800 789321 or direct to Thames Valley Police on 0845 8 505 505. If you don't want to leave your name, you can call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
