Vehicle Crime Reduction


  • We want to reduce vehicle crime in Buckinghamshire, especially in South Bucks
  • Don’t get caught out by leaving belongings inside or leaving your car unlocked
  • Never leave anything inside when you leave your vehicle


The South Bucks Community Safety Partnership is helping reduce vehicle crime in a number of ways, many of which are already crime logodetailed on the other Crime and Safety pages, including:

  • Improving security in all publicly owned car parks
  • Introducing CCTV with Automatic Number Plate Recognition Technology in a 5 year CCTV plan
  • Council staff are reporting vehicles leaving items on display to the DVLA
  • Raising awareness of the problem through the Caught Red Handed Campaign
