Volunteering

Make a difference. Make things happen. Get involved.

Buckinghamshire has a thriving voluntary and community sector, with an estimated 175,000 residents volunteering at least once a year, and about two thirds of these volunteering at least once a month.

Why volunteer?

  • Learn new skills
  • Meet new people
  • Share your expertise
  • Gain life enhancing experiences.
  • Expand your own community connections.

Volunteering also helps your local community by enabling charities and community groups to make a difference and improve people's lives through your support.

There is a huge range of volunteer opportunities available in Buckinghamshire.  From the more traditional roles in charity shops, to clearing woodland and neighbourhood befriending schemes, to using your professional skills and trusteeships. Whether you've got just a little time to spare, or a lot, there is quite literally something for everyone!
