Keep our small businesses buzzing

Small Business Saturday is being marked on 2 December this year, the fifth year the initiative has run in the UK. Each year, more businesses get involved and the scheme is gaining momentum.

In 2016, research after the day suggested that consumers nationally spent £717m with small businesses on Small Business Saturday, an increase of 15% on 2015 spending.

In South Bucks' towns and parishes, small businesses are a lifeline for many residents, and they help keep communities lively and vibrant. Small Business Saturday is an added opportunity to show support for them.

Small Business Saturday UK is a not-for-profit, grassroots campaign, which exists to support, inspire and promote small business. The campaign encourages businesses to promote themselves and work with other small businesses, and consumers to 'shop local' and support small businesses in their communities. .
