Chiltern and South Bucks District Councils have successfully embraced the challenges of modern government through taking a progressive partnership approach to offering services.

We are proud of what we have achieved through our joint working and we are passionate about delivering excellent services to our customers every day and meeting the needs of our local communities.

We now face a new challenge.  On 1st November 2018 the Secretary of State, James Brokenshire, announced that the five existing councils of Buckinghamshire - Aylesbury Vale,  Chiltern,  South Bucks and Wycombe district councils and Bucks County Council - will form a brand new 'unitary district' council which will come in to place on 1st April 2020. This means just one council providing all council services in Bucks.
 
We see this as a golden opportunity to transform all service provision in Bucks.  Our staff have a vital part to play in ensuring that this new council delivers excellent services and improved outcomes to the communities we serve.
